Last Friday Romford town Paralympic swimmer swept the board at the Essex ASA annual awards Rayleigh golf club.
Amy who is studying at Loughborough university came home to Hornchurch for the event, taking her proud younger sister Georgia as her guest. Amy was awarded the Plaistow cup for top female athlete performance at nationals this year, a cup which she has won 3 times, and on top of that Amy was awarded the Higgs shield for the 2nd time for overall top performer a nationals.
Afterwards the bronze Rio 2016 Paralympic medalist said “It is always a honour to win an award, but to be recognised for my achievements and get both awards is amazing, and to have my little sister with me was such a proud moment.”
