Town’s junior swimmers took part in an evening gala, swimming the four 50m events plus the 100IM.

The girls’ started things off gloriously with the 100IM.  9 year old Ruth Eguakhide took. . . . . . .

Gold; 10 year olds Aida Morter and Charlotte Marshalls-Child finished in gold and 4th place respectively,11 year old Codie McSheffrey claimed gold, as did 12 year old Millie Hosler, with Constance Kennedy (12) claiming silver.  13 year old Freya Muratoglu also picked up a gold medal.

50m Butterfly was the first race for the boys.  9 year old Baris Muratoglu claimed bronze, 10 year old Alexander Ivanov a silver and 10 year old Connor Jarrett a bronze.  Gold went to 11 year old Oliver Smith, with Town’s newcomer Mark Rigo (12) taking a bronze.  12 year old Enzo Fulton just missed out on a medal in 4th place.

50m Freestyle produced gold number 2 for Eguakhide with Lily Lipinska picking up bronze.  Morter and McSheffrey claimed their second gold medals, whilst Kennedy collected her first gold of the meet, with Hosler settling for silver.

The boys’ 50m Backstroke produced gold for Baris Muratoglu, bronze for Jarrett and a 4th place finish for Wiktor Muniak.  Oliver Smith claimed his second gold, with Danny Moody just missing out in 4th place.

A hat trick of golds for Eguakhide cam courtesy of the 50m Breaststroke. Morter claimed silver in her age group.  Town’s first 1,2,3 came via the 12 year old girls comprising Ruby Fry (gold), Hosler (silver) and Kennedy (bronze).  Freya Muratoglu took silver.

100IM produced a gold for Ivanov and a silver for Jarrett.  11 year old Raheel Mahmood picked up a gold in his age group, with Smith claiming silver.  12 year old Jamieson McLaren took gold and Moody the bronze.

Lipinska claimed silver in the 50m Backstroke, with Eguakhide taking bronze.  Morter picked up another gold with Marshalls-Child taking bronze.  McSheffrey claimed bronze, Hosler gold and Kennedy a silver.

The boys 50m Breaststroke gave Baris Muratoglu gold, Smith 4th, Rifo gold, Moody silver and Fulton 4th place.

Eguakhide collected silver for her 50m Butterfly, Morter claimed another gold, along with Hosler.  Kennedy and Freya Muratoglu both claimed bronzes.

The final event was the boys 50m Freestyle: the splash and dash! Silvers went to Baris Muratoglu and Jarrett, bronze went to Ivanov and 4th place finishes for Smith and Muniak.  In the 12 year age group, Rigo claimed gold, McLaren silver and Moody finished in 4th place.
